Nutraceutical Foods

Cosvitec is actively involved in nutraceutical research and operates on projects aimed at studying extracts of plants, animals, minerals and microorganisms with beneficial function on human health, prevention and treatment of diseases. The research in which Cosvitec invests its resources aims to identify and study nutraceutical foods, or “pharma foods.” Nutraceuticals serve to integrate the common diet, providing a concentrated source of nutrients (e.g., vitamins, minerals, etc.) and other substances (e.g., amino acids, essential fatty acids, fiber and other plant substances, etc.) that have a proven physiological effect and contribute to the body’s state of well-being.
